This fine daily shaver is accented with brass pins and a brass wedge – making it an absolute classic in style and appearance.

I’ve personally honed this Dovo razor on traditional water stones to the highest standards till shave ready – a joy to use, and an heirloom treasure.

Cocobolo is one of my most favorite woods as a craftsman – the colors are rich and deep, with excellent gradients of browns, reds and more. The brass wedge and pins are an excellent accompaniment to this piece, making the razor shine at every angle.

DOVO razors are among the finest examples of freshly forged high carbon steel blades from Germany, and this piece is no exception.

This razor was made in the famous city of blades in Germany (Solingen) by DOVO, and I’ve taken this fine steel up several notches by adding the finishing touches to make this blade shave just as I personally would like it – high standards to meet!

Each of these blades is put to my Japanese water stones, followed by my rare Escher Yellow/Green hone. With these traditional water stones, I set the sharpness by hand so it’s shave ready to the highest standards. If you’ve never shaved with an expertly honed “Shave Ready” blade from my shop – you’re in for a treat. The edge is so fine, it just wipes away hair, and strops like a breeze. Practice is needed, of course, but a starting shaver will love that this kit takes care of them.

This razor has passed my high-standard shave test, and then washed with soap and warm water, bathed in disinfecting Barbacide, and bathed in 90% isopropyl alcohol. The razor is treated with a with a long-lasting moisture barrier to ensure rust resilience during use, and shipped with a light coat of oil.

Strop Kit Details:

A timeless strop design, providing a complete stropping kit for your daily-use straight razor. The total strop length is approx 20″ with a 2″ width.

Made with U.S.A tanned leather (a higher grade than most other maker’s fine leather), it sets a fine edge on your razor shave after shave.

An great strop, perfect for learning the “x-stroke” with your straight razor. If during stropping you do make a minor cut, the thick leather is forgiving, and small cuts can be sanded away without any compromise to the functionality.
