I did this set of razors for a customer who appreciates the vintage shapes of Sheffield razors from the 1800’s. The natural grains of ox horn and camel bone go nicely with the two variations of high carbon damascus steel. Fine silver adorns the wedges of both.
The Ox horn piece features two historically observed features in large old straight razors: a humpback (the enlarged dome shaped shank), and a dropped spine swayback to the spine area. The camel bone piece features a unique damascus patterning from the high carbon steel to add contrast and interest to the set.
