I called this blade the Efreet kamisori, after the fiery mythological creature often depicted with similar menacing spikes and glow. I’m particularly fond of the golden “crown” that I set to the tip of the blade.
Though this blade has great character in the profile, all points are very comfortable, being polished to a bluntness making it a joy to hold and strop. My finish is gold and back in my trademark “Yūrei-zu” style.
This high carbon steel shaves keen and smooth, great for expert and beginner alike.
This Kamisori (pronounced kamee-sori – カミソリ) is a design that I offer in a variety of leather wrappings and tip shapes. The grind on these razors is symmetrical, so the razor can be used in either hand with ease.
Each of these kamisori are hand forged one at a time, with respect to traditional Japanese razor smithing.
Each kamisori is 100% unique, and no two share the exact same handle pattern, though the blade is ground to exact precision.
