The customer wanted a steampunk/bioshock style blade with my own twist on it.
The profile has a “detached spine”, art deco/steampunk hard line profiles and holes, with a lacquered scale finish that bring an organic quality to the otherwise hard shapes.
Balanced at the pivot, great weight in the hand, and a fine shave.
This project was a nice mental stretch from my usual custom razor shapes and styles. Learned many new skills with this piece, and I’m ever thankful for the way it turned out.
