I made this straight razor from select, high carbon damascus steel that provides a great edge for daily shaving. The shank of the razor is clad with mastodon fossil, the scales are a fine gaboon ebony, the wedge mastodon fossil showing the inner grain, and I hand fabricated silver washers for the scales.
A subtle taper to the tang terminates into a dovetail join for the fossil, as it is pinned twice as well.
